Good morning lovely children and parents!
It is Friday today and the end of the week. Today the school is emailing children's school reports to reflect on their achievements during this academic year. Next week is the last week before we all start our summer holidays.
Let's light a candle and pray together:
In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:
God, our Father, we have come to say
thank you for your love today.
Thank you for my family
and all the friends you give to me.
Guard me in the dark of night
and in the morning send your light.
Literacy - Seaside
I hope you enjoyed our story of 'The Rainbow Fish' yesterday and discussed it with your mummy or daddy. We all know how important it is to have friends and share / take turns with them. They usually repay you with kindness and friendship. Today's story is a continuation of the same theme. It is called 'The Rainbow Fish comes to the Rescue' by the same author Marcus Pfister. Listen to it carefully and describe the Rainbow fish's behaviour.
How did all fish behave when the little stripy fish wanted to join them?
Do you think they were mean?
What happened when a shark appeared?
Who did he go for?
What did the Rainbow fish do?
Did the other fish follow him?
How did they behave when they rescued the stripy fish?
Did they become good friends?
What would you do?
What can you do at the seaside? Can you make some sandcastles? Can you make a moat and pour some water in? What kind of toys do you need at the seaside? What can you use your bucket for?
Can you collect some pebbles, shells, weeds by the sea?
What kind of food can you eat at the seaside? Can you buy some ice cream or rock?
Let's do some seaside activities:
Maths - Counting
Practise counting to 20
Enjoy your weekend and we'll see you next week.
