A message for parents (updated 1st June)

Monday 1st June

Dear Parents,

I hope you are all safe and well and managed to enjoy the half term break. As you are aware the school will reopen week commencing: Monday 8th June for children in Year 6, Monday 15th June for children in Year 1 and Monday 22nd June for children in Reception. The school will be open Monday to Thursday and closed every Friday until further notice for a deep clean. Unfortunately, this does not include Year 3/4 so our class page will continue to be our main point of contact. All morning messages and daily tasks can be found on the main class page by clicking on the daisy. There will be three daily tasks including maths, English and a foundation subject. Please spend no more than 1 hour on each subject. Children are encouraged to spend 15 minutes each day practising their handwriting, reading and spellings. Please note, if your child is stressed or feeling overwhelmed only complete one or two tasks per day.  Your child's health and well being is top priority.

Thank you for your continued support during this time.

Best wishes

Miss Rodger

Friday 22nd May

Dear Parents and children,

Happy half term!

Thank you for all your hard work and effort at home over the last five weeks. You have all worked tirelessly at home and I love all the photos, videos and letters you have shared with me.

You should be very proud of yourselves.

If you would like to see what your friends have been up too have a look in the gallery folder below (Your wonderful work).

If you click on the star below you will find some fun activities to keep you busy over the holidays.

Enjoy the break!

Miss Rodger

Monday 27th April

Step into the NHS for Primary Schools is a new resource and competition for KS2 pupils, designed to help raise career aspirations, challenge stereotyping and put learning into context for the future.

Over the next few weeks, NHS tasks will be set for children to complete within the daily tasks folder.  There are three tasks to complete.

Part three will consist of celebrating the work children have learnt.

They will then produce a piece of artwork or writing for a chance to win up to £50 worth of Amazon vouchers.

Here is a short video to give you more information about the competition that will take place.

Please note the competition deadline has been extended to Friday 19 June 2020, allowing more schools and their students to enter and say thank you to the NHS and its staff.

Please submit entries to Miss Rodger via the school email:

No later than Thursday 18th June.

Thank you

Miss Rodger

Monday 21st April

Dear Parents

First of all, I hope you are all keeping safe and well.

You will find the daily tasks for your child to complete in the Summer Term 1 Daily Tasks folder on the main class page.

They contain three tasks for your child to complete.

A maths, English and one foundation subject activity. Please spend no more that one hour on each task.

As well as that, children are advised to learn their weekly spellings and keep up with their daily reading and handwriting practice.

Also, a reminder that all children have logins for Mathletics, Espresso, and Times Table Rock Stars so feel free to use these websites for extra support.

If you would like to send a sample of your work to me, or a photograph of you doing an activity, please feel free to email the school via:

Any work sent in will be saved in the gallery folder on the main class page.

Please note all daily maths tasks for Miss Rodger's Year 3 maths group and Mr Naughton's Year 4 maths group are located in each weekly folder.

You are advised to see Mrs Benedykt's, Mrs Price's and and Mr Elgey's class pages for their maths group activities.

Finally, a huge thank you to you all for the hard work and effort you have put into your child's learning especially over the last few weeks.

It is not easy but it is greatly appreciated at this time.

I look forward to seeing you all in the not so distant future.

Best wishes

Miss Rodger
