Black Lives Matter

You may have been listening to the news recently about many people gathering together in cities across the world to say to world leaders that ‘Black Lives Matter’.  At St Mary's school we believe that everyone is loved by God and each plays a special role in His family. Right now, we are praying for those who suffer injustice due to the colour of their skin and are becoming actively anti-racist.

Below is a video that explains this movement for children:

In God’s family, everyone is welcome. God created each one of us in His own image: unique, special and equal. Sometimes, people are treated differently because of the colour of their skin. This is wrong and unjust.  Everyone at St Mary's treats each other with love and respect - just like Jesus did. As St Mary's students, we should spread this wider message into the world and in the communities around us.

Attached is a PDF document which contains a virtual library. They are about different heroes who have spoken out against racial injustice. Enjoy the books and maybe they will inspire you to stand up for what is right and just, exactly how God would want you to be.
