Good morning children,
Today is Friday 15th May. The sun is shining and this day would have marked the end of SATS week for Year 6 children across the country. I know how much hard work the children in our school have put in this year and it is a shame not to get the opportunity to demonstrate how much you have learnt. Nevertheless, the school and myself are proud of all of you - that includes the Year 5s as well.
Today there are activities in maths and English with another chapter of Tales of Ancient Egypt to read, which includes a comprehension on Horus the Avenger.
As always, please do not get overwhelmed if you think there is too much work to do. Do what you can and if you reach a point where you think you can't do something, move on to a different activity. Take plenty of breaks and keep your body hydrated with water.
Have a lovely day.
Morning children, I hope you have had a lovely bank holiday weekend and enjoyed the VE Day celebrations. Did you see the red arrows fly past? Here is a picture of them flying over Englefield Green, which is in Windsor Great Park. A family friend took the photo.
I hope you and your families are keeping well. I received a few emails on Friday with samples of work that you have been doing at home. Well done for all your efforts. You truly are amazing children!
I look forward to seeing how you get on with your maths, English and RE activities today. There is also some handwriting practice to do, to keep your presentation skills sharp.
Bye for now.
P.S. Aurora has sent these links to activities you can try at home. Her work can be viewed in the gallery section of the class page.
