Good morning Year 1! Today is Friday 1st May. We are now in Summer Term week 2.
Happy Friday Year 1! Today is a special day for two reasons; we are the first day of our new month of May and it is National Space Day!
Do you remember all of our learning about astronauts, the stars, the moon and the rockets? Today we have some fun learning about space day, I hope you are ready for lift off!

Today's activity focuses on nocturnal animals. These are night creatures. Can you list all of the animals in the video and then draw a picture of a nocturnal animal?
Today's activity focuses on finding the difference between prices. We will be subtracting. This is similar to yesterday's activity when we found the change.
I have chosen the rocket for 12p and the lolly for 5p. I need to start with the biggest number first because I am subtracting. Let's count the jumps. The difference between 12 and 5 is 7.
