Happy Friday Year 1! Today is a special day for two reasons; we are the first day of our new month of May and it is National Space Day!

Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Phonics and handwriting
Please aim for 30 minutes (15 each) of handwriting and phonics per day.

English
Today's activity focuses on nocturnal animals. These are night creatures. Can you list all of the animals in the video and then draw a picture of a nocturnal animal?
Maths
Today's activity focuses on finding the difference between prices. We will be subtracting. This is similar to yesterday's activity when we found the change.
I have chosen the rocket for 12p and the lolly for 5p. I need to start with the biggest number first because I am subtracting. Let's count the jumps. The difference between 12 and 5 is 7.
Art
Today is International Space Day! In celebration of this day you have the option to create either or even both of the below tasks. Get creative.... to infinity and beyond!
