Let's start the day with a prayer.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Phonics and handwriting
Please aim for 30 minutes (15 each) of handwriting and phonics per day.

Design Technology (DT):
Today's activity focuses on designing a kite that can fly using the DT step-by-step model - RESEARCH, DESIGN, MAKE, EVALUATE.
This is a junk modeling task so try to use as many recycled materials you have at home. Some examples include: plastic bags, bin liners, plastic straws, string etc.
Remember in DT we start out with a brief (problem to be solved).
Kite Brief:
Sally's friend can not find her friend in the park. She needs something that will make her stand out so her friend can find her. Can you help her design a kite that can fly in the sky? Then Sally's friend can follow the kite to find her.
Success criteria:
Last, evaluate your kite. What worked well? What did not work? Would you change anything for next time? Did you use at least two different materials? Is your kite a 2-D shape? Does your kite fly?
Have fun! Once you have finished why not take your kite outside or to the park to fly around on a windy day. Don't forget to send me your wonderful pictures.
