Good Morning Year 2
Challenge: Listen to the audio of me reading the morning message. Can you read along as I speak?
Today is Friday 8th May, 2020. Happy VE Day. Below is a picture, taken on Friday 8th May, 1945, of people celebrating in London - do you know where it is in London?
How will you celebrate today? At 11am there will be a two-minute national silence to remember the end of the Second World War in Europe.
Remember some of the ideas from yesterday's lesson: https://www.st-marys.lambeth.sch.uk/thursday-7th-may-3/ This is a picture of my nephew making his bunting. You can make your own bunting, a medal, host your VE Day tea party in the afternoon and learn We'll Meet Again.
On the right is another picture of my nephew right before his big singing debut. He asked for a glass water from his assistant (his sister) before he could start singing.
If you go to Miss Hume's page and look at lesson 13 - she is actually going to teach you the song We'll Meet Again! The words are on our class page.
I have put your Friday maths test below for you if you would still like to do it, but as it's a holiday, you don't have to. Lucky you!
Have a great holiday weekend!
Joke of the Day!
Why did the banana go to the doctor?
Because it wasn’t peeling well.
Start the day at 9am with PE with JOE
Morning Prayer
Father in heaven You love me.
You are with me night and day.
