Monday 16th March


  • Read and write common exception words(red tricky words).
  • Phonics screen practice tests (PowerPoints).
  • Read a variety of books at home and practise decoding and blending words.
  • Read a variety of books at home and practise comprehension - ask children questions about the books they have read. Can you re-tell the story?


  • Handwriting booklets
  • Reading comprehensions.
  • My Weekend News: write a recount of your weekend. Make sure to write golden sentences (capital letters, finger spaces and full stops).
  • Can you write a sentence with a noun, adjective and verb? (The big cat was playing).
  • Can you write plural noun sentences? (e.g., I ate so many sweets today).


  • Assigned tasks on Mathletics (measurement topic)
  • Practise re-calling your number bonds to 10 and 20.
  • Counting in 2s, 5s and 10s.
  • Count forwards and backwards using the Splat Square.
  • Addition and subtraction within 20.
