Let's start the day with a prayer.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Phonics and handwriting
Please aim for 30 minutes (15 each) of handwriting and phonics per day.
Today we are going to write a recount of our weekends. What did you do? Who were you with? Did you go anywhere? Did you play outside? What was your favourite part?
Now that you are all superstar writers try to add lots of detail. Can you use some of the things we have learned in Year 1?
In our lesson today we are going to practice our 2, 5 and 10 Times Tables.
Warmup with the skip counting and multiplication videos on our maths page and the times table game!
Review the times tables PowerPoint and complete the multiplication wheels below.
If you feel confident with your 2s, 5s and 10s times tables, why not try some other ones like your 3s, 4s, 6s 7s, 8s, or 9s. Good luck!
We are learning about our neighbours. We have neighbours all around the world. We can love our neighbours, help them and care for them.
Today we are going to look at CAFOD (Catholic Agency For Overseas Development) which is a charity that helps people in poverty in developing countries. Today's lesson focuses on understanding that we are all neighbours and that we are all loved by God.
First, look at the PowerPoint of how CAFOD helps our neighbours. After that, read about Marie-Dorianes story and complete the worksheet comparing Marie's life to your own.
Think about these questions when you read about Marie-Doriane:
