RE Lesson

The prayer to the Holy Spirit

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.  Send forth your Spirit, and they shall be created and you shall renew the face of the earth.  Amen.

Activity 1

Explore the words and their meaning.  Compose your own version of the prayer. You can use the attached template, or write it directly into your book.

The Holy Spirit Comes - Acts 2 - Pentecost for Kids

Activity 2

Look at the video clip, reminding you about what happened on Pentecost. For your next activity, make a booklet, including everything that you have learned about the coming of the Holy Spirit. You might want to include:

  • the story of Pentecost
  • the gifts of the Holy Spirit
  • how you show, through your actions/behaviour, the gifts from the Holy Spirit
  • a prayer to the Holy Spirit

I have attached some headings and pictures that you might want to use in your booklet.
