Good morning Year 1! Today is Monday 1st June. Today is the first day of the second half of our Summer Term and we are in week 1.
I hope you all had a marvelous May half term break. Maybe you played outside in the sunshine? Perhaps you had a picnic? I hope that you had lots of fun and rested. I would love to see photos so please do continue to send them to me.
I had a great half term break. I went on a long bike ride and made some yummy meals for my family.
Today is a special day for three reasons. We are the start of the second half of our Summer Term, it is the first day of our brand new month of June and yesterday it was Eden's birthday!
Happy Birthday to Eden! We all hope you had the best day and that you had a lot of fun. We will all sing Happy Birthday to you!
Let's start the day with a prayer.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Why not try the fun connective game below!
Remember before half term we learned that halves are 2 equal pieces and quarters are 4 equal pieces. We are going to learn how to describe different movements with our fraction words.
He did a half turn.
He turned three quarters.
Yesterday on Sunday 31st May was Pentecost Sunday. Everyone shared the good news that the Holy Spirit has arrived!
Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to help us all on earth. The disciples passed this message onto others so that they might be saved too.
Today your task is to write a prayer to the Holy Spirit asking for help and guidance in sharing the Good News of Jesus.
