Happy Monday!
Welcome to a new week of learning.
It is week 6 of summer term 2.
What is the date today? Remember to use full sentences.
Let’s start our day with a prayer.
Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
See the link below to join in for our Monday liturgy with your families.
Children please see below the most recent letter from Miss Pluckrose. Remember you can write back to her.
Daily handwriting and phonics/reading: Please aim for 30 minutes (15 each) of handwriting and phonics and continue reading each day.
Grammar: This week we are learning about homophones.
For today's task:
English: Today we are going to write a recount of our weekends. What did you do? Who were you with? Did you go anywhere? Did you play outside? What was your favourite part?
Now that you are all superstar writers try to add lots of detail. Can you use some of the things we have learned in Year 1?
Maths: In our lesson today we are going to practice our 2, 5 and 10 Times Tables.
Try and answer the Times Tables questions in the Power Point slides. Then complete the worksheets on the 2, 5 and 10 Times Tables.
Enjoy the video's below and have a try at the Times Table game. You can also check out the websites page to see the 2s, 5s and 10s skip counting songs.
RE: We are learning about our neighbours. We have neighbours all around the world. We can love our neighbours, help them and care for them.
"You shall love your neighbour as yourself."
Mark 12:31
Today we are going to read the story The Good Samaritan. You can also listen to the video version below. This story teaches us that God wants us to love one another, even if we are different.
After reading or listening to the story think of the following questions:
Now can you sequence the story? What happened in the beginning, middle and end? You can use the 'sequence prompts' worksheet below to help you or you can challenge yourself and make your own sentences using the picture cards and word mat to help you.
