Good morning Year 1! Today is Monday 8th June. We are now in Summer Term 2 week 2.

Today is a special Monday because it is World Oceans Day. This day is about celebrating our magnificent oceans and about how we can protect them. Watch the video's below to learn more about oceans.
This morning you have Liturgy. Today you have Grammar, English, Maths and RE tasks to complete. Keep on making me proud with your wonderful work.

Please aim for 30 minutes (15 each) of handwriting and phonics per day.
Play the guess my word game to try to see if you can spell numbers 0-20.
Enjoy the reading of Handa’s Hen by Eileen Browne. Look at Handa's Number Sentences. Read each sentence and write in the missing number word on each one: I saw two butterflies. Write in any missing animal names too. Check with the Animal Pictures if you get stuck.
Maths: Today we are going to review our measurement knowledge on length and height.
