Let's start the day with a prayer.
The Lord's prayer, or Our Father
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Phonics and handwriting
Please aim for 30 minutes (15 each) of handwriting and phonics per day.

Warmup with the multiplication videos and the times table game!
Today we will be learning about transitioning from Year 1 to Year 2. This our last week of Year 1 so we will be preparing to wave goodbye to Year 1.
Last week we learnt about how change is a good thing. We thought about about all of the things we were looking forward to doing in Year 2.
Today we will be thinking about our memories and achievements in Year 1.
Task 1: Read through the End of Year Poem learning slides and then complete pages 1 and 2 of Transition Day: Year 1 to Year 2.
Task 2: Create your very own Year 1 Time Capsule! All you need is an empty bottle and the Year 1 Time Capsule label. Put 5 memories of Year 1 in to your time capsule. Here are some examples.
1: The funniest memory of Year 1 was when we watched Robin Hood in the hall.
2: My best friends in Year 1 have been Camilla and Charlotte.
3. My proudest memory of Year 1 was performing in our Nativity performance.
4. My best memory of Art this year was when Arty Party came to visit.
5. The best silly memory of Year 1 was Silly Register on a Friday.
Make sure you store your Year 1 Time Capsule away safely and remember to open it in a few years time!
Task 3 (Optional)
Waving Goodbye to Year 1 Artwork
Trace around your hand and cut carefully to create a waving hand! Next stick it on to a piece of paper. Use fingerprints to paint on lots of different colours behind your waving hand. Finally stick your poem onto your artwork.
