Tuesday 7th July

Good morning amazing children.

What is the date today? Remember to use full sentences.

Morning message - 07.07.20

Let’s start our day with a prayer.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

For today's task complete page 1 and 2 of the PDF below. Can you find the correct homophone that matches the picture and the sentences?

Homophones - | English Grammar | Periwinkle

English: Today we are going to review the punctuation we have learned in Year 1. We have learned when to use a full stop, question mark and exclamation mark.

In today's task read the sentences and decide what the correct punctuation mark is. If you would like you can give the extra challenge a try and see if you can write your own sentences using different punctuation marks.

Maths: Today we are going to revise our understanding of multiplication.

Can you remember what the multiplication symbol is?

Multiplication means that we add groups of the same number together. We can also call it repeated addition of a number.

How to use arrays to multiply

First, warmup with some games. Then read through the learning slides (page 22-25) and complete the worksheet.

PSHE:Today we will be learning about transitioning from Year 1 to Year 2. Next week is our last week of Year 1 so we will be preparing to wave goodbye to Year 1.

In September you will be starting Year 2 which is very exciting. Change can be hard as you may feel worried about what lies ahead but it's okay to feel like that and some of your classmates will be feeling the same as you. This is an exciting time and it's important to talk about this big transition to Year 2 so we can prepare ourselves and get EXCITED!

Read through the New Beginnings PowerPoint and then complete pages 3 and 4 of your Transition Day: Year 1 to Year 2. Next, complete your My Goals For Next Year Transition Bunting.
