Good morning children and happy last day of term to you all!

I hope you enjoyed your day in the sun yesterday - the weather is exquisite right now. Have any of you started a new book? Hopefully you have been inspired to read Harry Potter after the English work this week. It really is the best children's book of all time along with The Jolly Postman!

Ensure that you tidy up your school area today, this will help you to have a good rest from all your hard work. Remember that in order to learn more you must take a break. Finish off any pieces of work that are incomplete and then you will feel sorted for the end of term.

Next term is the final one of year six. If all goes to plan, I may see some of you back at school. However, we do not know if that will definitely happen just yet. It is a time of change for us all but we will work on that together. We may not be physically together but we are all supporting each other from a distance. All of you enter my thoughts at least once or twice a day!

Enjoy your Friday and don't forget to send me your Harry Potter memes! Thank you to Sebastian for his one.

Looking forward to hearing from you at some point.

Keep smiling,

Ms Lankester :)

Good morning dear children!

Today you have morning maths, maths, and english work to complete. Then, please finish any incomplete science work. I know that you all enjoy taking your time and making your work the best that it can be.

Have you read any good books lately? I am looking for another good book to start (I have read 5 since school finished!) and I may go for 'Noughts and Crosses' as I have a paper copy with me at home.

Don't forget to send in your Harry Potter memes! I have only received one so far, it is on the class gallery section for your perusal.

Keep safe and happy.

Ms Lankester :)

The cat is thoroughly disappointed. He read the chapter where Snape killed Dumbledore. Shocked doesn't cover how he feels!

Good morning dear year six children,

You have made it to Wednesday! Well done. Today, please complete your morning maths, maths, english and science work. Your science should take you two afternoons to complete so anything you do not finish, complete tomorrow afternoon.

Don't forget that next week is half term and Monday is a bank holiday. This means you can have a good rest next week. Sadly, I don't have a book to send you home with over half term (like I usually do!) but hopefully you have got a good book at home to get stuck into.

I miss you all very much and I want nothing more for us to be back in our class finishing year six. I am sure that you have heard the government news about conditionally opening schools to year six from June 1st. However, it will only be possible to do this if we can all stay safe. Please pray for Miss Pluckrose during this time as she looks at how best to open our school and keep children and staff safe. As you may well imagine, it is not an easy task and she will want the best for everyone in our school family.

Look after yourselves at home and send my best wishes to your families.

Ms Lankester :)

Good morning children,

I hope you all had a great Monday. Today you have morning maths, maths, english and RE work to complete. Don't forget to spend fifteen minutes practising your handwriting. When you go to secondary school, I want you all to stand out for having the most elegant script.

Send in any completed work to me via the office2 email address.

Have a great day!

Ms Lankester :)

Good morning dear children,

I hope that you and your families are safe and well. Hopefully you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the company of your families. I was lucky enough to have a socially distanced walk with my mother over the weekend - it has been far too long since I last saw her.

Today you have Miss Pluckrose's liturgy, morning maths, maths, English and humanities work to complete. On spotify, there are readings of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. This might be of interest to you with your new week of English work! Make sure you send it into me - it is something I would have loved to have studied in school with you.

Stay safe and healthy and do wear a hat in the sun today!

Ms Lankester :)
