Wednesday 13th May

Good Morning Year 2

Challenge:  Listen to the audio of me reading the morning message.  Can you read along as I speak?

Miss Writer's Morning Message

Today is Wednesday 13th May, 2020.  Yesterday was International Nurses Day.  I didn't know that it was yesterday until Raffy sent in a poster!  Even though we are a day late, I think it would be a great idea for us to do our own posters for International Nurses Day too!  Send yours in and I will post them on our class page.

Did you manage to look at any trees yesterday?  Today you have a tree task in science.  I hope you enjoy learning more about trees.  Why do we need trees and plants?  What would happen to the world if we didn't have them?

And yesterday was also Florence Nightingale's birthday!  Do you think that has anything to do with why the day was selected for International Nurses day?

Joke of the Day!

How do squids get to school?

They take an octobus.

Start the day at 9am with PE with JOE

Morning Prayer

Father in heaven You love me.

You are with me night and day.

I want to love You always,

In all I do and say.

I'll try to please You Father.

Bless me through the day.

Amen

This week I thought we would learn about trees.  Since I saw that wild and gnarled tree that looked like it was about 500 years old, I have been looking at all kinds of trees and wondering about them.
