Wednesday 3rd June

Good morning children. I hope you had an enjoyable day yesterday. What did you all get up to? I would love to hear from you with pictures or videos about what you have been doing. I spent the day in school with Miss Lankester, moving furniture around and doing a spring clean. I am in school again today to finish off tidying and for some training on how to use Google Classroom. I will take a picture to show you the new look classroom when I have finished.

I will leave you with this picture of Leo, who by the way, is joining the nursery in September. Can you think what he might be doing in the supermarket? I'll give you a clue - he is doing something with eggs.

Read and listen to the above poems by Rachel Rooney. You have to annotate these, using a set of poetic features and technical terms. Finally, you have to write a paragraph about one of the poems, or alternatively one of the other poems on Rachel Rooney's website. Click the link below for access to these.

Your task today is all about the process of mummification. This is a pretty gruesome, but very interesting part of Ancient Egyptian history. I hope you enjoy it.

1. Watch both of the videos below.

2. Work your way through PowerPoint and complete the tasks in the correct order. You will need to view the PowerPoint in slideshow mode to ensure that the links work correctly.

3. The writing task has a variety of different levels of difficulty to choose from. Pick a sheet that you feel is suitable for yourself, but remember that it is always good to have a challenge.
