Year 2 - Miss Writer

Welcome to Miss Writer's Year 2 Class Page.

Goodbye Mrs Vujnovic!

On Wednesday we say goodbye to Mrs Vujnovic who has been with St. Mary's school for 27 years!  She has been a wonderful support to many year 2 children and she has spent a happy 27 years in all year groups of the school.  Please wave her a goodbye on Wednesday 31st March and wish her a happy retirement.  The children have all asked her to come and visit us so no doubt we will be seeing her soon!

Well done for making it to the Easter holiday.

Later this week, the children will receive their end of Spring report.  It will contain English and mathematics targets.

You can use the Easter holiday to begin to work towards the targets.

On Thursday, we will be breaking up for our Easter holiday.

Please collect the children at 1:20pm.

The children will have homework set for them in addition to CPG books which they can complete at home.  They do not need to return these books.

- School starts at 8:50am
- School finishes at 3:20pm

- Thursday, 1st April - School finishes at 1:20pm

PE is on Thursday and Friday.  Please come to school in your PE kit.

Thank you all for working so hard.  Have a wonderful Easter holiday.

Kind regards,
Miss Writer

Home Learning TOP TIPS

You may wish to consider the following to help prepare your child for home learning:

  • Have a quiet, tidy area for your child to work in
  • Ensure your child has access to Google Classroom – laptops/desktops or tablets are ideal
  • Saving passwords and usernames or having them written down next to the device being used is advisable
  • Headphones provide better sound quality
  • Have basic equipment (paper, pen/pencil, rubber, sharpener, ruler) available so that your child can complete the set tasks
  • Help your child to upload work onto the Google Classroom page when completed
  • Encourage your child to try their best
