Good morning Year 2 pupils and parents.

Today is Friday 3rd April and it is the last day of term.

Next week is Holy Week and I have added an activity below.

When you go for your exercise each day, use your eyes, ears and nose to enjoy the joys of spring. I hope you have a lovely Easter break. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Please remember to continue praying for all those affected by the virus and for all the people that are helping others at this difficult time.

During the period of the school closure, you have been given an activity pack and I'm sure you will enjoy completing the activities.

The details of the activities are in a document below.

There are many activity ideas in the Kids Zone on this website.

Enter the Kids Zone via the Children section.

There are also activities in the All Years section in the Class Pages area.

The children really enjoyed Art Week and produced wonderful work.

Well done children!

Our current RE topic is 'Lent and Easter' and it is important that we are thinking about the events of Holy Week and also about our Lenten promises.

Please continue to practise using the four operations to solve mathematical problems.

Also, please continue to develop your reading for understanding skills by reading each day and answering questions on the text you have read.

Class Prayers

Please pray with your child each day.

We begin each day by saying the Lord's Prayer and we end each day by praying the Hail Mary together.

Before eating lunch we say the following prayer:

Bless us O Lord as we sit together.

Bless the food we eat today.

Bless the hands that made the food.

Bless us O Lord. Amen.

We begin each afternoon by praying:

Thank you God for the food we have eaten.

Thank you God for all our friends.

Thank you God for everything.

Thank you God. Amen.

Please encourage your child to bring in prayer intentions, when we have returned to school, and we will pray them together.
