Nursery

Teacher

Our teacher is Ms L Ohene-Djan and she is helped by Miss Claire. We love choosing activities both in the classroom and our outdoor learning area. We experiment and explore whilst asking questions and making observations to help us develop in all areas of the curriculum.

In Nursery, we learn by choosing our own fun activities. Leading our own play helps us identify our interests, making our learning more engaging. We also take part in play guided by Ms L Ohene-Djan and Miss Claire who help us develop the necessary skills for Reception.

Events

EYFS Curriculum

In Nursery there are 7 areas of learning - the prime areas and specific areas.

The prime areas underpin all that we do in the EYFS. These areas lay the foundations for a child's success in all areas of learning. In Nursery we focus on the prime areas first.

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  • Communication and Language
  • Physical Development

The specific areas provide the experiences and opportunities to broaden your child's skills and knowledge.

  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding the World
  • Expressive Arts and Design

Important Days

PE is on Friday morning each week.
