Welcome to our Year 6 class page. I am the class teacher, Miss Writer. I hope you had a wonderful summer holiday with your children and thank you for sending them back well rested and ready for the school year. I will put key reminders, general information on this class page as well as links to things you or your children may find useful this year.

Upper Junior Presentation

Homework

Homework will be set three times a week. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Year 6 children will access their homework on Google Classroom. If you can’t access Google Classroom, please let me know. Please note: if your child is in Mr Elgey’s Maths class, please go to his class page for maths homework.

PE Kit

This term, our PE days is Tuesday. We will be swimming and have the sports coach.

Children must wear their PE kit to school on the days that they have PE. Please ensure your child has the correct PE kit which consists of a white t-shirt, navy shorts and plimsoles or trainers. During the colder weather your child should wear the School PE jumper.

If your child has a club after school and it is not a PE day, uniform should be worn as normal and PE kit should be brought to change into before the club begins.

If your child plays football in the court they are welcome to bring in trainers to keep in their lockers to wear during lunchtime.

Friday 20^th October 3.30pm – Last day of half term.
Monday 30^th October – Autumn term 2 begins.
Monday 27^th November – Test Week.
Monday 11th December – Parents’ Evening Meetings to take place this week.
